Projects and Project Management

A project has been defined as “a temporary endeavour undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result.” When we consider the nature of an access audit program, it is clear that this exercise falls into being defined as a ‘project’. It has a commencement date, required completion date and finite resources (i.e. funding and time).

Project management is considered to be the “application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements“. Project management is accomplished through the application and the integration throughout all key stages of any project. These processes include initiating the audit program, planning the audits, executing the audits, monitoring and controlling the program, including regular updates back to our clients, and finally closing out the project.

MAA understands that it is critical to the success of any project that the project manager (or appointed consultancy) has the necessary skills and experience to successfully deliver the project to the client in an agreed time-frame and agreed cost. That’s where MAA is different to all other access consultants, with a Project Director with a vast range of experience in projects, qualifications at post-graduate level in project management and membership of the Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM).

To successfully deliver any project objectives, MAA will:

  • Consult with our clients;
  • Identify project requirements;
  • Establish clear and achievable project objectives;
  • Balance the competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost to deliver the best outcomes; and
  • Most importantly, we will be flexible and adapt our approach to the different concerns and expectations of our client.

Our Commitment to our Clients

MAA has a commitment to providing a quality service and delivering audit programs on time that represents value for money for our clients. These commitments are displayed in our promise to deliver a specific Access Audit Project Plan for all significant audit programs

Our Audit Program Delivery Model
