There are a number of international standards available for reference when developing accessible building design solutions. We’ll slowly be adding more of these to this website.
Accessibility Standards (International)

ISO 21542:2011
The International ISO 21542 specifies a range of requirements and recommendations for many accessible elements of construction, assemblies, components and fittings which comprise the built environment. These relate to the constructional aspects of access to buildings, to circulation within buildings, to egress from buildings in the normal course of events and evacuation in the event of an emergency. Many of which exceed Australian requirements.
